The Château-Musée Lafayette
intend to create several animations by staging Lafayette
and his discovery of indian tribes.

the XVIIIth century, during the war of independence of the United States, Lafayette tried
to persuade Indians to fight alongside the Insurgents in the name of freedom. Thanks to
Lafayette's commitment the Indian tribes gave up English Army and let at the service of
these rebels their most courageous warriors, their knowledge about war and their art of
taming savage nature.
In order to realize a place of
animation that we wish as alive and authentic as possible :
An Indian Village,
Expositions,
Staging,
Demonstrations of Indian abilities ...
e are interested by buying
things that used to be the property of Indians, by any information that could help us to
reconstitute the same type of their living, their daily work, their culinary and clothing
customs etc...Any information about their way of life or about their relations with the
General Lafayette will be very precious for us.
